Tutor explaining concepts at a whiteboard with notes on transaction flow

Our flagship workshop is the starting point for most learners. We built it after hearing the same questions repeatedly: why did this transfer cost more than the last one, what is a compute unit, and when should I add a priority fee?

The session uses publicly visible transactions — never your private keys — to show exactly where lamports go. You leave with a reference card listing typical base fees for transfers, token approvals, and simple swaps, plus notes on reading confirmation status in an explorer.

Groups are capped at six so everyone can ask follow-up questions. Private bookings for teams of up to twelve are available on request.

Included

  • Printed fee reference card for common instruction types
  • Annotated walkthrough of three real transaction examples
  • Q&A block with follow-up email summary
  • Access to session slides for 30 days

Not included

  • Wallet setup or private key management
  • Investment or trading advice
  • Custom smart contract development

Who this is for

Adults who hold or manage SOL and want to understand what they pay and why, without prior blockchain coursework.

  1. Brief overview of accounts, signatures, and instruction structure
  2. Live demonstration of a simple SOL transfer with fee breakdown
  3. Group exercise comparing base fee vs priority fee on a congested slot
  4. Review of confirmation levels and what "finalised" means in practice
  5. Open questions with printed reference tables

Preparation

Bring a notebook. If joining online, have a Solana explorer open in a separate tab. No SOL required for the demonstration portion.
